The lady who started the discussion that Ebuka be replaced or be given a female host, has been identified as @Folkeezy, on Twitter. She was the one who started the conversation on social media but got escalated.
Taking to her Twitter page, Defolu Folkeezy, made a suggestion that Ebuka should get a co-host but it must be a female. Defolu is a strong feminist, who has shown her feminist side on social media severally. After she shared her opinion via tweet, people began to react.
In that process, those who never liked Ebuka right from day one, began to call for him to be replaced by Nancy Isime or Frank Edoho or a new face as the host for Big Brother Naija Season 6. BBNaija Season 6 will begin very soon.
After the call for Ebuka to be replaced by a female host began to trend, WWTBAM ex-host, Frank Edoho, took to his Twitter page to defend Ebuka and his job. He wrote:
“What did Ebuka do to deserve all this? Why would you want to change someone that has done a show successfully for only 3 years and have him replaced with one who did WWTBAM for 13 years?
Leave Ebuka alone! Please.”
She wrote:
“Why can’t a woman host BBN? Why can’t BBN have 2 hosts? There are no rules anywhere. Also, nobody is taking anybody’s job. If BBN replaces Ebuka it’s because he’s moved on to other things or they decided they wanted someone else, not because someone tweeted it.”
After her tweet escalated, she took to Twitter to defend herself. She wrote: “Anyway, I don’t blame all of you, it’s the miscreants that hijacked the convo and turned it on its head that I blame.”
