This is not a drill: An Eraserheads reunion concert is happening!
Iconic Filipino band Eraserheads is reuniting for a one-day show on December 22 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City, the quartet confirmed on Monday.
The event poster also states that tickets will be sold soon. Frontman Ely Buendia, drummer Raymund Marasigan, bassist Buddy Zabala, and guitarist Marcus Adoro spurred the possibility of a comeback after they all posted on their Instagram accounts a logo of the band on Saturday.
Formed in 1989, the Eraserheads popularized songs that even the new generation know by heart, including “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Alapaap,” “Pare Ko,” “Overdrive,” and “Magasin,” to name a few.
The 90s band split in 2002 when Buendia left. However, in 2009, it held a reunion concert dubbed “The Final Set.”
