Donald Trump is FURIOUS with his former Attorney General Bill Barr, who commented on Fox News that the indictments against him appear solid and that “He’s toast.”
The former disgraced and twice-impeached President vented his fury on his Truth Social platform when he posted “Turn off FoxNews when that “Gutless Pig” is on!”
Barr was instrumental in staving off legal peril from Trump’s perimeter, especially when he reframed the extensive investigation labeled “The Mueller Report” as much ado about nothing. Despite Barr’s fealty to Trump then, the reality of the charges against him drove the former AG to declare he was “shocked by the degree of sensitivity of these documents and how many there were” and “I think the counts under the Espionage Act that he willfully retained those documents are solid counts. But I do think that even half of what Andy McCarthy said, which is if even half of it is true, then he’s toast.”
Trump’s eruption was typical: he finds displeasure in someone he once valued, and throws them under the bus. “Virtually everyone is saying that the Indictment is about Election Interference & should not have been brought, except Bill Barr, a “disgruntled former employee” & lazy Attorney General who was weak & totally ineffective,” he wrote.
