When Trump loses Fox & Newsmax he’s got real problems and it looks like he saw it coming.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger to CNN on whether he would run for president: “My intention is not to run in 2024. But it would be fun. It would be fun to stand on a stage with Donald Trump and actually tell the truth, because when he’s on a stage, it’s nothing but lies that come out.”
The former President reserved media slots for members of the “fake news,” as he likes to call them, to attend the end-of-year extravaganza – but alas there were no takers.
Also notably absent from the festivities were the ex-President’s two oldest children, Ivanka Trump and Don Jr.
It’s easy to understand how CNN and MSNBC would decline the invite, but, according to Business Insider, even right-wing media outlets like Fox News and Newsmax thought of better ways to spend the last day of the year. The extremist fringe network Right Side Broadcasting News (RSBN) was present, however.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., Trump and former first lady Melania Trump spoke to reporters outside the main ballroom in a short and barely audible exchange that covered topics from the war in Ukraine to the ex-President’s lackluster 2024 presidential campaign.
“We need a strong border and we need it now,” Trump told reporters. “We also have to bring back the economy … with inflation destroying our country,” according to Yahoo News.
Hours before the holiday party, Trump took to his fledgling social media platform Truth Social, to criticize mainstream media.
Trump is currently under multiple criminal and civil investigations related to his time as president and to his business dealings prior to being elected.
Recent revelations that the former President accepted tens of millions in compensation from foreign nations – and maintained a bank account in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) over a year into his presidency have sparked questions as to whether the former president was compromised during his one-term as commander-in-chief.
