A Woman of Lilanda Township has been chased from her matrimonial home because of her insatiable appetite for beer, Matero Local Court has heard.
Vera Mulilo, 24, who has been married for three years, got the wrath of her husband, Nicholas Kamutanthu, 29, because of her love for alcohol. Kamutanthu dragged Mulilo to court for divorce.
The couple got married in 2018 and has two children.
“All was well in the inception of our marriage until my wife started drinking beer. I would find her drunk every time I came from work. I complained to her relatives but they could not do anything. She continued with her behaviour,’’ Kamutanthu said.
He told the court that his wife was always found with wrong company and got home late in a drunken state.
Kamutanthu said he was left with no option but to chase his wife because she did not change her behaviour.
