Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Devin Haney is going viral after losing weight for his fight tonight with George Kambosos. (Read More Here).

In a rematch, for the WBC, IBF, WBA and WBO lightweight titles, Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) once again outboxed George Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) for a dominant twelve round unanimous decision.

The scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 118-110.

Back in June, Haney became the undisputed champion with a dominant twelve round unanimous decision over Kambosos. After losing to Devin Haney in June, a contractual rematch clause accepted by Haney was George Kambosos Jr.’s best and only chance to show he improved his game. Instead, once again in his backyard of Australia, Kambosos was schooled by Haney.

Inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Haney beat Kambosos via unanimous decision. There was no controversial scorecard, as the judges scored the fight 119-109, 118-110, and 118-110 in favor of Haney. As a result, Haney retained the undisputed lightweight titles.

Now that he has proven he is a true champion, Haney is ready for whoever is next. Vasiliy Lomachenko, Gervonta Davis, and Shakur Stevenson are all available.

Kambosos attempted to start off hot right away, switching between his normal stance and southpaw. While he had an edge in round one, it would be the only one he had. Both fighters were bleeding, Haney by his eye, Kambosos by the side of his head and his eye. Haney was able to jab away at Kambosos while also using his right hand to showcase his defensive skills on offense.

Haney, known as a calculating boxer, used his skills to counter almost every shot Kambosos had in his arsenal. He was being compared to Floyd Mayweather due to his defense. Kambosos thought he had a solid game plan, but Haney had him figured out.

It was almost as if Haney was involved in target practice. That was even more evident when you look at the CompuBox stats. Haney outlanded Kambosos 202-76. He landed 88 jabs and even landed 34 shots in the tenth. Kambosos landed double-digit shots twice.

The 23-year-old Haney won the interim WBC lightweight title in 2019. Since then, he has won six straight world title fights. Kambosos, quiet compared to the first fight, has now lost two in a row after starting his career 20-0.

The Sporting News provided highlights and analysis from Haney-Kambosos 2. Two big boxing cards are set to go down on Saturday night, with some of boxing’s best talent in action. The night will kick off with a card headlined by Deontay Wilder’s return to the ring for the first time since losing back-to-back fights to Tyson Fury. Wilder will battle Robert Helenius in a battle of hard-hitting heavyweights (9 p.m., FOX PPV).

Helenius is riding a three-fight winning streak, including a pair of big upset victories over Adam Kownacki. He faces a tall task in battling one of the hardest punchers in boxing history. Wilder has 41 knockouts in 42 career victories.

The action then will shift to a rematch for the undisputed lightweight championship when Devin Haney defends his four world titles against former champion George Kambosos Jr. (10:30 p.m., ESPN). Kambosos lost the undisputed championship to Haney in June but activated his rematch clause to bring Haney back to Australia for a chance to win the titles back.
