Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Deuxmoi confirmed Billie Eilish, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and other celebrities will attend 2023 MET GALA.
Deuxmoi wrote: “Celebrities who are reportedly invited but not confirmed yet: Kristen Stewart, Janelle Momae, Harry Styles, Kaia Gerber, Austin Butler, Rihanna, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Margot Robbie, Diane Kruger, Pharrell.
“As for people 100% confirmed: Billie Eilish, Cara Delevinge, Mindy Kaling, Penélope Cruz, Dua Lipa, Rose Depp, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Florence Pugh, Ashley Graham, Julia Garner, Cynthia Erivo and Christina Ricci.”
Many designers are reportedly also choosing to skip the event due to the restrictions of the theme, with its focus on Karl Lagerfeld, compared to previous themes such as ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’, ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’, and ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’, which allowed more room for creativity.
Karl Lagerfeld designed for Balmain, Patou, Chloé, and Fendi, but it’s his work at Chanel that he is most remembered for.
“Chanel themes are so iconic,” one of the sources notes. “Other brands have their own identity. What are they going to do?”
But another source said, “For every person that decides not to go, 20 people will line up behind them and beg to come.”
With an event dedicated to the work of the late German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the people who line up may not be up to standard.
“Will Anna want those people? Maybe, maybe not,” the source added. This year’s Met Gala, which celebrates the indelible legacy of the late Karl Lagerfeld, will no doubt be a true fashion fête.
