Dbanj’s rape accuser, Seyitan Babatayo has been arrested in Lagos State.

Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as, Dbanj’s rape accuser, Seyitan Babatayo has been arrested and detained at the police custody in Lagos since yesterday morning, 16th June, 2020.

Recall that last week, there were alot of rape cases that were reported and one of those rape cases was between Seyitan and Dbanj. 

After a week of silence, Dbanj took to his Instagram page yesterday to share a court letter, which was prepared by his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome. In the court letter, Dbanj’s rape accuser, Seyitan will have to pay him the sum of N100M for false accusation.

According to Seyitan, she told everyone on social media that Dbanj had raped her in Glee hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos in 2018(December).

Seyitan being arrested and detained by the police was made known by her lawyers in an interview with Premium Times.

Seyitan Babatayo’s lawyers said: “They arrested Seyitan this morning in Lae. They arrested our client but somebody is already there to facilitate her release on bail.

This matter is coming to Abuja by tomorrow; we are petitioning. The Financial Crime Investigation Division(FCID) is taking up the petition tomorrow that is all I can say about it for now”.
