Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Cynthia Peak, Mike Hill and William Kinney, identified as victims and adults killed in the Covenant School shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. (Read More Here).



White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Joe Biden has been briefed on the school shooting.



In a statement, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said: “I am closely monitoring the tragic situation at Covenant. As we continue to respond, please join us in praying for the school, congregation & Nashville community.”


The gunfire in Nashville on Monday follows multiple shootings on campuses across the country.


Just days ago, a 17-year-old suspect wounded two administrators at a Denver high school before he was found dead.


In February, three students were gunned down at Michigan State University.


And in January, two students were fatally shot at a charter school in Des Moines, Iowa. The deadly school shooting unfolded Monday morning at the Covenant School, a Christian school for students in preschool through sixth grade.


NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Three children and three staff members were shot and killed at a private school in Nashville, Tennessee, according to officials.


The children were identified by Nashville police as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, all 9 years old. The slain adults were identified as Cynthia Peak, 61; Mike Hill, 61; and Katherine Koonce, 60, who was the head of the school.


Peak was a substitute teacher and Hill was a custodian, according to investigators.


The shooting unfolded Monday morning at the Covenant School, a Christian school for students in preschool through sixth grade. The suspect, a 28-year-old Nashville woman who was later identified by police as Audrey Hale, was shot and killed by authorities in a lobby area on the second floor of the school, according to police.


No one who was shot survived, officials said.


Nashville Police Chief John Drake said he “was literally moved to tears to see” the young students as they were “ushered out of the building.”


Three adults were also killed in the shooting. They have been identified as 61-year-old Cynthia Peak, 60-year-old Katherine Koonce and 61-year-old Mike Hill, police said.


Nashville police are expected to give an update on its investigation into the school shooting soon.


The 6 victims fatally shot by the active shooter at Covenant School are identified as: Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age 9, Cynthia Peak, age 61, Katherine Koonce, age 60, and Mike Hill, age 61.
