Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Crunchyroll has crashed because of ATTACK ON TITAN end premiere.
On the day of the epic finale, the website struggled to handle the surge in traffic, resulting in an unexpected social media outage. The highly anticipated finale titled ‘Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2’, made its official debut in Japan and was set to be simultaneously available on Crunchyroll for viewers in various regions, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and Southeast Asia.
The long-awaited finale to the long-running anime “Attack on Titan,” complete with English subtitles, kicked off on the streaming service Crunchyroll at 5pm US-PT today.
However, Anime Corner reports that demand is so high that the platform’s servers are having major issues and are struggling to load for some. For other users who managed to get in early, the episode is reportedly loading as it should.
A similar thing happened back in January last year when “Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2” premiered as both Crunchyroll and Funimation crashed due to demand at the time. This incident is not the first time that the show ‘Attack on Titan’ has contributed to the website crashing. A similar situation occurred in January 2022 when the premiere of “Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2” led to service disruptions on both Crunchyroll and Funimation.
Crunchyroll has issued a statement on X, saying: “Our site is experiencing intermittent issues, but we’re working hard to resolve things quickly. We really appreciate your patience.”
In the finale titled “Attack on Titan: Final Season – The Final Chapters Special 2 ,” the fate of the world hangs in the balance as Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans.
