Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, wife of Senator Bulkachuwa and the former President of Court of Appeal was accused to have collected N6B to dismiss Atiku Abubakar’s Petition in 2019!
The Senator representing Bauchi North in the Senate, Adamu Bulkachuwa, has made shocking revelation about the Nigerian judiciary.
Bulkachuwa whose wife served as the president of the court of Appeal in a video which has gone viral on Twitter, could be heard bragging about how he influenced the wife’s decisions.
The former chairman of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs while addressing the Senate openly confessed how he compelled his wife, the former President of Appeal Court, Justice Zainab A. Bulkachuwa, to give judgments in favour of APC Senators.
Mr Okorocha, an outgoing senator representing Imo West, said: “I did not contest for the senate this period. I only contested for the office of the president. You are a very smart politician. How you came back to the Senate is another chapter in our political history that we need to discuss.”
Further mocking the controversial return of Mr Lawan to the Senate, Mr Okorocha said: “I was there in the field with you running for president, I never knew how you were able to meander, leaving some of us. Next time you must teach me how to do that.”
A disturbing video has emerged of Senator Adamu Muhammad Bulkachuwa, the current senator representing Bauchi North senatorial district, bragging about how he influenced the decision of his wife, Zainab Bulkachuwa, a retired Justice of the Appeal Court.
Bulkachuwa bowed out of the bench after clocking the statutory retirement age of 70 years for justices of the Appeal Court in 2020.
The video obtained by DAILY POST showed the statement was made reportedly during the valedictory session of the Senate. Legal experts have expressed grave concerns over the implications of such misconduct within the judiciary. Justice integrity and fairness, which form the bedrock of any democratic society, are now in question. The independence of the judiciary, one of the pillars of democracy, appears to have been compromised, raising concerns about the potential erosion of the rule of law.
