A brave schoolboy diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer has shared his dream of being a mascot for his beloved Aston Villa. Colton Cook, 8, from Witton was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour ‘never seen before’ by doctors earlier this year – and now his family are raising money to give him memories he can cherish. Before the diagnosis Colton had just gotten into football, and he’s a very keen villa supporter. This fundraiser was made to help with not only travel costs/ any expenses for hospital stays, but to raise money to help Colton have the chance to mascot for his favourite football team, and meet his favourite players. Something that will put a smile on his face through such tough times. “Up until March of this year, Colton was a fit, healthy, normal 8 year old boy,” said sister Chelsea. “He loved playing football and is a huge Aston Villa fan.

“He got into a little football team in the local area for his kids’ age but within weeks of his first game he started to complain about earaches, and had a tiny little lump behind his ear, no bigger than a pinky fingernail. Obviously, his mum took him to the doctors and they treated him for an ear infection.
