Collum Coal mine owner Xu Jaine Xue and his technical advisor Charles Dindiwe have continued to abuse Zambian female workers at the mine in full view of male workers.
Reports coming from Sinazongwe Collum Coal mine are that the female workers who operate from the canteen and clean the offices and bedrooms of Chinese nationals are sexually harassed day and night and that any complaint leads to termination of employment.
“What happens is that these Chinese guys are sexually starved because their wives are in Lusaka which is very far, so they take advantage of these female workers that are here,” said the source.
Charles Dindiwe who is the advisor to the director is aware of this but keeps quite to protect his job because last time he opened his mouth, they almost fired him.
A complaint was sent to the Sinazongwe DC who came and toured the mine 2 months ago, he was given a big parcel that looked like a a brown envelope and went away minus talking to the female workers, who is going to help us now.
Last year, a 21 year old intern from the Copperbelt University was impregnated by Mr. Xu Jaine Xue and forced her to abort, the girl was given K50,000 to keep quite and that is how the matter died a natural death.
Is this how a mine should continue operating in the new dawn government?
