Chris Hani’s killer Janusz Walus has been released from prison under strict conditions after the Constitutional Court ruled in favour of his release on parole. 

Waluś was serving a life sentence in C-Max Pretoria for the 1993 assassination of Chris Hani, General Secretary of the South African Communist Party and chief of staff of Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK), the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC).
