Following his unprecedented charity work in the district, Choma Municipal Council is proposing to pay back something to businessman James Ndambo in their own small way by naming a road after him.
The council has proposed to name the road leading to Choma General Hospital after the business tycoon, who has provided much of the talking points after pouring millions into Choma through his charity arm, My Home Town.
My Home Town is currently rehabilitating the road leading to Choma General Hospital at a cost of US$1 million.
It is just one of the many public works undertaken by the organisation, which is funded by Mr Ndambo.
Presenting a notice to the full council meeting on Tuesday, Choma town clerk Embassy Cheembo said Mr Ndambo, through the My Home Town initiative, has helped transform the district in various ways and deserves to the appreciated.
