Taking to social media, Rovers Chat, confirmed that commentator Matt Sillitoe has passed away.
In a now deleted article, a Twitter or X user claimed that Matt Sillitoe passed away after alleged migraine headache, which hasn’t been confirmed by accurate tabloids.
Rovers Chat wrote: “Devastated to hear the news that Matt Sillitoe has passed away.
“Any Rovers fan will know Matt as the PA announcer at Ewood Park, with his voice heard around the ground on matchdays.
“Matt was also a part of Rovers Chat over the years, and we’re truly saddened by the news.“A qualified referee, avid Lancashire Cricket fan and former University of Salford student, Matt had most recently been working as a digital content producer for the globally leading gambling awareness and harm-prevention company, EPIC Risk Management.
“The thoughts and prayers of everyone connected with the club are with Matt’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
