Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Ray Stevenson, the actor who died in Ischia after an illness on the set.
He was 59 years old and was busy filming “Cassino in Ischia”. In his career he had worn the iconic clothes of the Musketeer Porthos, the Punisher Frank Castle and Tito Pullo in “Roma”.
British actor Ray Stevenson, best known for his roles in the TV series Roma, in the film The Three Musketeers by Paul WS Anderson and in the Thor saga, died on Monday 22 May at the Rizzoli hospital in Ischia where he had been hospitalized following a illness on set.
ILLNESS AND HOSPITALIZATION
Stevenson had been on the island for a few days to shoot the film Cassino a Ischia , directed by Frank Ciota and in which Ugo Dighero also stars, when he felt ill on the afternoon of Saturday 20 May and hospitalization became necessary islander. The actor’s conditions, which immediately appeared very serious, worsened on the morning of Monday 22 May, causing his death.

Roles such as Dragonet in Antoine Fuqua’s King Arthur , Porthos in Paul WS Anderson’s The Three Musketeers , Volstagg in the Thor saga, Tito Pullo in the TV series Roma stand out in Stevenson’s career . Stevenson also played Frank Castle in Lexi Alexander’s Punisher , a film inspired by the Marvel comic series. His latest film was RRR , an Indian blockbuster that had great success with audiences and critics, the last one on TV was the Star Wars Ahsoka series , arriving on Disney+.
