Arleen Sorkin, the original voice of Harley Quinn has sadly passed away at the age of 67.
Taking to social media, a Twitter user, in a now deleted tweet, claimed Arleen Sorkin died peacefully in her sleep, but no accurate report on her cause of death.
Joker 2 being a musical is a surprising but logical choice, especially considering Harley Quinn’s real world origin story and her connection to musical elements. The musical format adds an element of unpredictability and mystery to the plot, keeping the audience engaged and on their toes. By incorporating musical sequences, the sequel can maintain the ambiguity and uncertainty that made the original Joker film successful without repeating the same formula.
One reason that “Batman: The Animated Series” was and remains so beloved was how it embraced case-of-the-week storytelling. This was perfect for showcasing all the different corners and characters that make up the wild world of Gotham City. Such a large cast of characters meant that the series brought in a lot of actors; voice director Andrea Romano sought actors of all stripes for parts big and small.
