Atiku wrote: “I received with sadness news of the loss of Chief Duro Onabule, former Chief Press Secretary, to former military President Ibrahim Babangida. He was an accomplished journalist and public communication practitioner. My deepest condolences to his family, the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the Nigerian Union of Journalists. May his soul rest in peace. -AA.”
The news of his death filtered into the air through Chief Eric Teniola, a close associate to Onabule’s family, who wrote, “Chief Duro Dnabule died this evening”. (Read More Here).

The journalist was born in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, on September 27, 1939. He attended CMS Grammar School and School of Journalism, London. The former presidential spokesman died at 83 on Tuesday. As of the time of this report, the cause of his death is unknown.
