YouTuber WhistlinDiesel destroyed his $400,000 Ferrari and a rental van after off-roading through a cornfield.

We’ve seen some wild things on YouTube, but this takes the cake for lunacy. WhistlinDiesel, a popular YouTuber known for his destructive tendencies, recently purchased a Ferrari F8 Tributo worth $400,000, only to take it off-roading and smash it into fences. His reason for doing so? Deliberately attracting a lawsuit from the Maranello-based company.

A video published by the 25-year-old YouTuber on Friday shows the car being thrashed at high speed through a cornfield in Waco, Texas. As it plows away, the 710-horsepower F8 is seen sucking up a ton of dry crop in its face and rear wheel areas. Then, the fire happened.

The blaze appears to start in the area of its rear right wheel and climb up through the mid-engined supercar’s engine bay. WhistlinDiesel—also known as Cody Detwiler—and his crew desperately try to put out the blaze with any liquids handy, including a Red Bull, but have no luck. The fire quickly spreads to their film van, making the scene even more chaotic.

Anyone who thinks this is outrageous is forgiven. For the average person, owning a Ferrari is an expensive dream. The Italian luxury supercar has a reputation for being extravagant, besides producing some of the quickest cars. By quick, we mean adrenaline-pumping acceleration. WhistlinDiesel’s 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo has a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.9 seconds.
