"Bring back Russia Today – RT" – South Africans tell Multichoice after its company closed Russia Today Channel on DSTV

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Multichoice has reportedly blocked popular Russian media outlet, Russia Today (RT) on DSTV. (Read More Here).

It was gathered that around 6:00PM, Russia Today began to show ‘closed’ on DSTV 

The reason Multichoice shut down Russia Today hasn’t been ascertained at the time of filing the report. 

South Africans of all races have rushed to their social media to call out Multichoice for choosing a side in the war between Russia and Ukraine. 

Now, South Africans are calling on Multichoice to refund their subscription money or bring back the channel.

Multichoice cannot just remove RT from my DSTV bouquet. I paid for the package which includes RT.

They can’t just remove channels I PAID for, especially news channels. The press in itself is a Chapter 9 institution in our constitution. This is a violation of freedom of the press.
