Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Rotimi Akeredolu has joined the list of Nigerian politicians who tested for COVID-19.
Taking to his Twitter page, Rotimi Akeredolu revealed that he had malaria for a few days but got treated. When he met his friend and told him about his encounter with malaria, his friend told him to get tested for COVID-19. Governor Rotimi obliged and ran a test for COVID-19.
On the 30th of June, 2020, Rotimi Akeredolu received his test result and found out he has tested positive for COVID-19. According to him, he was asymptomatic before he ran the COVID-19 test.

Before Rotimi Akeredolu tested positive for COVID-19, he was seen in a video captured by Sahara Reporters as he was sneezing while jubilating with other APC members when he went to submit his governorship form.
