Bishop Lamor Whitehead, the man who was robbed of more than $1 million in jewelry during a live-streamed church service, is accused of stealing $90,000 from one of his parishioners. (Read More Here).
A lawsuit filed at the Brooklyn Supreme Court alleges that the bishop convinced 56-year-old #PaulineAnderson to invest in one of his firms, promising that he would use the funds to help her buy a home.
According to the lawsuit Lamor also agreed to pay Pauline $100 a month since the savings was her only source of income. After going months without payment, the bishop allegedly told Pauline that he viewed her investment as a donation to his campaign for Brooklyn borough president.
The case is still pending, but Pauline is seeking $1 million in damages for Lamor’s “morally reprehensible acts,” and for “losing her entire life savings.”
