BIOGRAPHY, WIKIPEDIA AGE AND NET WORTH: NFL quarterback, Ryan Mallett, has passed away after he drowned in Florida.




The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that former NFL quarterback Ryan Mallett died Tuesday after he reportedly drowned at a beach in Destin, Florida.


The OCSO is investigating the drowning after first responders were called to the beach behind the 700 block of Gulf Shore Drive in Destin around 2:12 p.m. The former quarterback had a seven-year career in the league.


He spent three years with the Patriots from 2011 to 2013, serving as Tom Brady’s backup during this period. In 2014, he moved to the Houston Texans, where he was the immediate backup to Ryan Fitzpatrick and became the starter later in the season. In 2015, he lost the starter battle to Brian Hoyer.

Mallett, 35, was a University of Arkansas start quarterback who went on to play seven seasons in the NFL. ESPN reported Tuesday night that the Arkansas school district where he coached high school football put out a statement on his death.


“It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Coach Ryan Mallett,” White Hall School District said in a statement reported by ESPN. “Coach Mallett was a beloved coach and educator. We ask that you remember his family, team, students, fellow coaches, and the White Hall School District staff in your prayers.”

Plenty of franchises sent out a statement about the quarterback’s death. The New England Patriots sent condolences to the family:


The New England Patriots are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of former quarterback Ryan Mallett. Our thoughts are with the Mallett family, his former teammates and all who are mourning his loss. An inside source confirmed the news to Complex on Tuesday evening. Further details have not yet been made public. A number of figures in fashion and hip-hop—including Bun B—have begun to pay homage. More information on Spanto’s passing will be added as it becomes available.


The designer created the influential Born x Raised brand with Alex “2Tone” Erdmann a decade ago, celebrating and defending their Venice, California home. One of their earliest designs, seen in the clip below, famously read “Gentrification Is Genocide.” High-profile collabs have included New Era, Converse, Babylon, and numerous L.A. franchises like the Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Rams, and LAFC.


The designer started the brand with Alex “2Tone” Erdmann a decade ago as an ode to their Venice, California home. Since starting the brand, Born x Raised has found itself collaborating with some of the biggest franchises to come out of Los Angeles — the Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Rams and even LAFC. The label has also joined forces on collabs with the likes of New Era and Converse.


Just recently, the designer took to Instagram to share his look back on his life, expressing how grateful he is to be cancer free. Spanto was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2013 and celebrated his cancer-free status in 2018. At the end of 2022, he reflected on how far he has come on Instagram in a gratitude post below. Just last month, Born x Raised teamed up with Levi’s to pay homage to Spanto’s late father Butch, who died earlier this year.
