Hamish Badenoch is the Global Head, Future of Work and Real Estate Transformation, at Deutsche Bank – the bank he has been working at for more than 12 years.


Before becoming Global Head, he served as programme lead for Brexit People Migration and chief administrative officer at the corporate bank.


Hamish was educated at Cambridge University where he gained a Bachelor’s Degree in history.


In the early 2000s, he was heading down a different career road in writing and photography. The politician was born to Nigerian parents who had migrated to the UK. Her father worked as a GP, while her mother was a professor of sociology. Growing up, Badenoch displayed a keen intellect and a strong work ethic. She attended the University of Sussex, where she pursued a degree in computer systems engineering. Her passion for technology and its potential to drive societal change became evident during her academic years.


Kemi and Hamish met in 2009 at the Dulwich and West Norwood Conservative Club and tied the know in 2012.


She told the Daily Mail: “Hamish and I became friends and it took off from there.


“He helped me deliver my leaflets.”


Kemi admitted that Hamish has taken a step back from politics so that he can support her in her pursuits. After completing her studies, she embarked on a successful career in the private sector. She worked in various technology-related roles, including software engineering, web design, and digital marketing. Her expertise in these fields allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the transformative power of technology and its impact on society.


Badenoch’s political journey began in 2012 when she joined the Conservative Party. Her remarkable ability to articulate conservative values and connect with voters led to her rapid ascent within the party. In 2017, she was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Saffron Walden constituency, representing the Conservative Party.
