Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that TikToker, Randy Gonzalez, confirmed dead.
A source close to the family tells TMZ, Randy passed Wednesday morning in hospice after his struggles with colon cancer … a health battle he provided updates about throughout his fight.
He and his son, Brice, used their social media platform to spread awareness about colon cancer … and continued to gain serious popularity from their radiant father-and-son dynamic.
Following his announcement, Gonzalez created a GoFundMe to help pay for treatments after he said he was rejected at the University of Texas’ cancer center because they did not take his insurance. The fundraiser raised more than $200,000.
“This fundraiser is to help me to pay for my treatment at MDAnderson and to bring awareness for Colon Cancer to all young men who are not familiar with it. For all who may not know it runs in their family or for those who may have mutated it like myself! Thank you all for the love and support, without y’all we couldn’t be the Enkyboys,” he wrote on the page.
The duo used TikTok to spread awareness on colon cancer. Gonzalez had just landed a role on NBC’s “Lopez vs. Lopez” show as Chance.
Tributes and an outpouring of support continue to fill the comments in Gonzalez’s last Instagram post in December.
“You’ll be greatly missed and remembered as the great dad and role model you were! You were such an inspiration to young dads to become better dads and be there for their kids!” one person said. Brice could be seen comically yelling at Gonzalez, lip-synching along to a popular sound on TikTok.
“When Brice travels from Texas to California,” read the caption.
The comments, which were once full of laughing emojis at the family’s video are now full of condolences.
“Rest in eternal peace,” wrote one viewer. “My heart hurts for you and your family. You and your son were awesome to watch.”
Another wrote: “Sad day to find out the news. I am in tears. He made so many people laugh and give courage to all. My heart breaks. May god bless him n his family.”
The viral TikTok star, who shared the account with his adorable son Brice, broke the news of his diagnosis to his followers last April, explaining that doctors gave him a limited time to live.
Gonzalez created a GoFundMe to help pay for his chemotherapy treatment, which could’ve extended his life by five more years.
He gave his 1.4million Instagram followers an update last November, detailing his progress and treatment over the last few months.
In one video on December 6, he said treatment was going well.
“A lot of people are asking how I’m doing and how my treatments are going,” he said.
“It’s going good except I have to change my chemo cause it’s not working right now but I do feel good.”
Gonzalez and Brice used their social media platforms to spread awareness about colon cancer.
The father-son duo is beloved on social media for their hilarious TikTok and Instagram content.
