Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Benson Mutura has allegedly been arrested at his City hall office. He blamed his current woes on NMS, says it doesn’t follow the law.
According to reports, the sleuths had arrived at City Hall to arrest Mutura on grounds of allegedly stealing public funds in his capacity as a public servant.
Mutura blamed the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) for his woes alleging that his arrest has been occasioned by his stand that the entity is operating illegally.
The circus of all these things is that I have stated categorically that NMS as it is now has not followed the law. The assembly has to approve, so that extension (for NMS) you are claiming ought to have been brought to the assembly for approval,” said Mutura.
He went on to state that the witch hunt targeting him is politically motivated because he had declared support for Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid, less than a fortnight ago.
“I am also being targeted because the other day I declared my support for the Deputy President. That support is unshakeable and I won’t be intimidated,” he said.
