According to ZNBC, on 15th December 2013, while working in her field with her husband in Nabwalya, Tulilenji Shita saw a lioness about to pounce on her one month baby lying on the ground.
Her husband Ben Shita immediately runaway leaving her alone, her motherly instincts would not bear the sight of seeing her last born daughter being eaten by a hungry lion.
She attacked the lion with a hoe. And YES, she killed it instantly.
And no one has ever recognized her for her heroism but President Hakainde Hichilema has promised to do it this month.
Her daughter has now grown up and is now in Grade 5. Take time and leave a word for this wonderful mother.
