Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Nedbank is set to take back Zahara’s townhouse from her over inability to repay R1.9 million loan. (Read More Here).

After having awards stolen from her townhouse in a recent break-in, Afropop sensation Zahara, whose given name is Bulelwa Mkutukana, faces another hurdle as creditors of the residence in Roodepoort, west of Johannesburg, could put it up for auction on May 7.

The publication reports that she’s been at loggerheads with Nedbank for struggling to repay a R1.9 million loan.

The bank filed for eviction on 6 April 2018 and also compelled the Loliwe singer to settle the amount or risk losing her house.

“On or about July 25 2012 and at Johannesburg, the plaintiff, duly represented, and the defendant concluded a written agreement of loan, subject to the terms and conditions contained in the loan agreement. The plaintiff agreed to lend the defendant, who agreed to borrow from the plaintiff, the sum of R1.9 million upon security with the property [address withheld].”

“The loan would be advanced to the defendant or on the defendant’s behalf, after registration of the mortgage bond and subject to compliance by the defendant with the terms and conditions of the loan agreement,” statement reads.

Information reads:

“Award winning Singer, Songwriter Zahara who opened a case of theft after her awards were stolen, now has to deal with the bank which allegedly want her house auctioned. @city_press has reported that Zahara is no longer able to keep up with the payments.

We are appealing with South Africans to help the Musician, Zahara is not just a singer, she’s an Award winning Musician to did so much for the entertainment industry in this Country, says anonymous on the DM. Arts and culture should intervene, says another fan. What about @samromusic what is their job? Are they not collecting money from artists? says another angry fan who want know what SAMRO does with artists money?”
