Taking to social media, popular war tabloid, Visegrad, confirmed that Abdul Wahab Halayleh is attacker.
The attacker was named Abdul Wahab Halayleh, hailing from south of Hebron.
The Palestinian militant group praised the attack, saying it was a “natural response” to the ongoing major Israeli military operation in Jenin refugee camp, in the northern West Bank.
At least 10 Palestinians are said to have been killed since hundreds of Israeli troops, backed by drone strikes, entered the camp on Monday morning, triggering intense gun battles with militants inside.
The Israeli military said that while it was “operating to maintain stability in the Jenin camp by targeting the terrorist infrastructure, our civilians are consequently being targeted by terrorism”.

A reported car-ramming and stabbing attack on Tuesday left eight people wounded in northern Tel Aviv, Israel. According to preliminary reports, one victim is in critical condition.
Police spokesperson said that police received a report about a “vehicle that hit several citizens on Pinchas Rosen Street in Tel Aviv.” The assailant was neutralized by an armed civilian.
The attack comes as the IDF operation in the West Bank city of Jenin entered its second day.
The violence has reached new levels over the past two weeks, with Israel deploying helicopter gunships and armed drones over the West Bank for the first time since the early 2000s, when 3,000 Palestinians and 1,000 Israelis died during a Palestinian uprising known as the second intifada.
The impoverished Jenin camp, a stronghold for militants from several Palestinian factions, has become the centre of the violence, with Israeli forces raiding it repeatedly over the past 18 months.
