Atleast three persons have lost their lives in a fatal road accident involving an 18-seater bus and a Toyota Sienna on the Akure-Owo Expressway, Akure, the Ondo State capital, this morning.
The Ondo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (@FRSCNigeria), Ezekiel SonAllah, confirmed the incident. He disclosed that the accident was caused as a result of wrongful overtaking coupled with speed violations on the part of the drivers.
According to the FRSC boss, at the time of filing this report, efforts are on to move the dead to a morgue, and the injured to a hospital for treatment. He described the accident as avoidable.
