Twitter is really hot tonight as lots of angry Nigerian feminists have taken to their pages to attack Dbanj over illegal/forceful arrest of Seyitan Babatayo.
Recall that we reported that Seyitan Babatayo has been arrested by the police in Lagos State on the 16th of June, 2020.
According to most angry Nigerian feminists, they wrote in their tweets that Dbanj is trying to silent Seyitan Babatayo with his money and fame.

Yes Dbanj may be digging his own grave but why did this happen in the first place? Blame the fucking retarded Lawyer who led her into their trap. #StopHiringQuacks https://t.co/xSyraJ0iOW

Nah Dbanj isn’t tryna get justice. He’s not tryna clear his name. He’s trying to silence Seyitan. You arrest her, give her no access to legal assistance & then take over socials ? Hide information that benefits your agenda ? RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES ?? What can we do for @seyitannn_
— ebele. (@ebelee_) June 17, 2020
We must never forget what Dbanj has done. Never!
— Dami (@OmogeDami) June 17, 2020
Dbanj cannot get away with this. I will draft letters to every fucking international brand is he is attached to, so god help me.

Arresting Seyitan and her mum, deleting her tweets, refusing her access to her lawyers because you have Nigeria police on your side will not prove your innocence. Police intimidation and bullying have already made this rape case worse. Dbanj you played yourself.
— Ugo (@UgoIkeakor) June 17, 2020
I hope everyone can see how Dbanj is abusing the power he has
— FK. (@fkabudu) June 17, 2020
Just reading that her mum was arrested too. Lool this is clearly oppression at this point. Dbanj is really a piece of shit for this one.
— I. (@thatgoddess____) June 17, 2020
Terribly disappointed Dbanj had his accuser detained, after he had done the right thing through his lawyers.
Whoever advised him to go this intimidation route, after his lawyers had appropriately intervened, has now helped him turn this into a messy scandal.
— Demola Olarewaju (@DemolaRewaju) June 17, 2020
Fuck Dbanj sha. And fuck that idiot Joey Akan too. Fuck Dbanj and his whole team and i hope he loses any and every endorsement he has or was looking for.
— Gideon (@DondeonBeke) June 17, 2020
Dbanj was accused of rape then proceeded to have the babe detained. now, if she’s forced to retract her statement, idiots will come and scream “false allegation”. I hate rubbish & I hate stupidity. ugh.
— bems (@Chiidubem) June 17, 2020
So let me get this straight. Dbanj was accused, no arrest was made.
Dbanj counters the accusation, babe is arrested and being detained with no access to her legal team.
And we are still telling women to go to the police https://t.co/qAwmVpg2M3
— BMakO (@BMakur) June 17, 2020
I hope you all are witnessing everything that’s currently happening to Seyitan, so maybe you’ll understand why people are scared to call out their rapists, especially when it’s someone with power. I wish there was something we could do to help.
— #JusticeforAllWomen (@marcelle_umar) June 17, 2020
Gosh I can’t even begin to imagine how scared Seyitan was while in police custody all by herself.
— Moe (@Mochievous) June 17, 2020
I'm really disappointed seeing the news concerning Dbanj and seyitan, this is extreme oppression at it peak
Equality before the law is quite absent in the Nigerian democracy
— lamar moses 🏵️ (@bienosemoses) June 17, 2020
Seyitan is suddenly tweeting from the police station and we are suppose to believe it’s her abi.
Undue influence is playing out well— Babygirl (@fola_yf) June 17, 2020
Dbanj arresting the Seyitan girl doesn't disprove the rape allegations.
Neither does Seyi getting arrested by Dbanj makes her claim factual.
If you're reaching any conclusions because of these factors, you're just in your feelings and not thinking straight.
— mamuzo of Isoko (@BillionTwiTs) June 17, 2020
There has been several attempts to shut Seyitan up, several attempts to force her to take her story down, several attempts to pay her off and what not, she didn’t agree. Now you want to play dirty??
— Bisola Okubanjo (@bisolaaaa_) June 17, 2020
She accused him of rape, he is trying to clear his name and get justice which is absolutely fine. Let seyitan defend herself & support the claims. This is how the law works. That’s why the say ‘The law is an ass’ https://t.co/MUAPzmyzzO
— Akinbosola (@MrAkinbosola) June 17, 2020
The fact that some of you are still taking Dbanj’s side shows how stupid you are. Why can’t he just go to court like he said he would? Why detain Seyitan since yesterday?? It shows how guilty he is
— lady perks (@AdetutuIsinks) June 17, 2020
D'banj taking a page straight from Fatoyinbos playbook to use economic/political power to silence his victim is a play as old as time itself.
Only issue is if Bisola had a village behind her, Seyitan has an army, you can't silence all of us. Your powers can't reach everybody.— Wine (@RedWhinee) June 17, 2020
It was Busola, then Seyitan.
How many women will you men detain?
How many? Who is next?
