An Arizona man who called Border patrol over undocumented immigrants on his property was shot and killed by Border patrol agents.
A well respected member of the Tohono O’odham community has been gunned down by #BorderPatrol agents.
According to Customs and Border Protection U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Ajo Station were involved in a shooting that resulted in the death of a man.
The man’s family is outraged and wants answers.
According to another family member who also asked not to be identified, #RaymondMattia was shot and killed by Border patrol agents Thursday night. She said Mattia had called Border Patrol.
The family said Mattia went outside after spotting the agents and that’s when they started to hear several gunshots.
“I couldn’t believe what I was hearing,” a relative told KVOA.
The family said they now want more answers about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the FBI and Tohono O’odham Police Department are involved in the investigation.
