Amir Khan and his wife are separated after being caught sexting a bridal model.
Just yesterday, Khan shared a birthday tribute to his wife on Instagram, posting a photo of their pair at a pottery class with the caption: “Happy birthday Faryal. you deserve the world and more.”
Last week, Faryal wrote on Instagram in a lengthy statement: “Over the duration of the last 7 days, I had had private conversations of mine dissected and torn apart by an alleged ‘legal representative’ acting on behalf of Sumaira, who has taken to social media with what I can only describe as a hate campaign.
The boxer also tried to meet up with the 25-year-old after first contacting her in May to compliment her tattoos.
He told her in one message: “look good on g string” and suggested she had a boob job.
Weeks later Khan — who married Faryal in 2013 — posted a snap online of himself with his US model wife and daughters, saying: “10 years later.”
He later revealed he was willing to have therapy to stop him sexting other women. Khan was caught texting the bridal model, who is 25, earlier this year, and told The Sun that he would be willing to go to therapy for the sake of his marriage. “That question hasn’t been brought up before,” he said in response to being asked about his wife’s request for him to seek help.
“But maybe I do need help to stop me from messaging other women. I am willing to go to therapy to stop me sending texts to women who aren’t my wife. I think nowadays with mental health issues, any help goes a long way. It’s definitely something I would do. Things like that do help, so maybe it’s something to think about.”
The I’m a Celebrity star also whisked Faryal off on a romantic trip to Mykonos in the wake of the scandal.
She later released a bombshell statement on Instagram slamming Sumaira.
Faryal said she was refusing to “play out my marriage publicly” but had released a statement “after a long week of accusations, slander and harassment”.
