All gaming shops in Kedah will cease operations effective today, after the state government decided not to renew their business licenses. 

“Penguat kuasa PBT diarah memeriksa kedai judi dan loteri di Kedah bagi memastikan tidak ada yang dibuka hari ini,” says MB Muhammad Sanusi.

Kedah will ban the operations of all gaming shops in the state by not renewing their business licenses issued by the local councils, to “tackle the ills resulting from gambling.”

“Those who want to buy (4-D lottery draws) can go to Penang,” says Kedah MB Muhammad Sanusi.
