CHIEF Chitina, of Mkushi, is saddened at the attack on Saturday of a 10-year old boy in the district who had his forefinger on the left hand chopped off using a sharp instrument by three attackers.
The attackers are said to have gone away with the victim’s finger, according to Zambia Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga.
The victim has been identified as Emmanuel Mwape, of Kashimba Village in Chitina’s chiefdom. For now, he is admitted in Old Mkushi District Hospital.
Chief Chitina said it is the first time such an incident is happening in his chiefdom.
He urged parents with children living with albinism to ensure extra security for them.
