After abruptly laying off an approximate 3,700 Twitter employees, Elon Musk is justifying his big move since acquiring the social media platform.
We all knew that once Musk was named the new owner of Twitter, there would be tons of big changes! But a mass exodus of staffers — well, I don’t know if anyone saw that coming, except Musk and those close to him. Earlier today, we learned that Musk would be reducing it’s workforce “in effort to place Twitter on a healthy path.”
As soon as thousands of employees were notified that they were jobless, a class action suit was then proposed in California, alleging that Musk removed employees without enough notice, thus violating labor laws in the state. However, Musk is now firing back and explaining why he opted to fire everybody, and noted that everyone received a 3-month severance.
