Kidnappers of Nollywood actors, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel aka Agbogidi, have demanded a whooping sum of $100,000 for their release.

Recall that Okereke and Clemson, who are members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), were abducted on their way from a movie set in Ozalla Town in Enugu State, on Thursday, July 28.

Speaking with Premium Times on Saturday, July 30, the AGN national president, Emeka Rollas said, “The kidn@ppers have made contact with the families and are demanding the sum of $100,000. We pray to God for his intervention and for Him to put confusion in their midst.

We are also working closely with the different security operatives, but we are not sure what to expect from them because the same thing is happening everywhere in the country.”

Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command says it’s has launched an investigation into the matter and has recovered an abandoned vehicle said to belong to Okereke.

The command’s spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe, said the vehicle was found at Four-Corners on Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway, precisely within Ozalla community in Nkanu West LGA.

“The current report at our disposal dwells on a case of abandoned and recovered vehicle, as well as missing person. On July 29, at about 7:30 am, we received information that a red-coloured Toyota RAV4 Jeep with registration number AGL 199 CY was noticed to have been parked in an abandoned way at Four-Corners on Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway.

Hence, the location was visited and the vehicle recovered. Coincidentally, at about 11:30a.m., of same date, a report was further received stating that the vehicle belongs to Cynthia Okereke, who was last seen on July 26.”
