Actor Lee Jung-jae requested over $1 million per episode for “Squid Game” Season 2, according to Dispatch.
Recently, there have been rumors that Lee Jung Jae was involved in T.O.P’s casting in ‘Squid Game 2’.
Netflix made a surprising announcement on June 29, unveiling the highly anticipated cast for the second season of the immensely popular series ‘Squid Game.’ Netizens were left astounded when they discovered that former Big Bang member T.O.P had secured a role in the ensemble. Speculations arose suggesting that lead actor Lee Jung Jae, who shares a longstanding friendship with T.O.P, played a pivotal role in his casting decision.
Lee Jung-jae’s agency denied the rumours. However, the same outlet has now claimed that the actor has demanded a staggering amount of $1 million (over Rs 8.2 crore) per episode for the second season. A source was quoted by them saying, “Netflix cannot afford to overlook Lee Jung-jae’s request. Lee Jung-jae asked Netflix to seek a substantial guarantee of over 1 million dollars per episode, which means his appearance fees will amount to a staggering total of over 13 million dollars (given the 13 episodes).”
Meanwhile, ‘Squid Game 2’ announced a huge line-up for the season which includes T.O.P and former Iz*One member Jo Yu-ri.
Other members include Kang Ae-sim (Be Melodramatic, Move to Heaven), Lee David (The Fortress, Svaha: The Sixth Finger), Lee Jin-uk (Sweet Home, Miss Granny), Choi Seung-hyun (Tazza: The Hidden Card), Roh Jae-won (Missing Yoon, Ditto), and Won Ji-an (D.P.).
