A two-year-old girl has been killed by the Terengganu floodwaters, making it the first fatality in the state during this monsoon season, Bernama says.
The girl was found floating in a ditch about 20 metres from her house in Kampung Apal, the portal reported PDRM as saying.
The police said the girl is believed to have left by herself through the kitchen door when her aunt was getting ready to evacuate to a temporary relief centre.
They added that the victim is said to have been swept away by floodwaters in the incident.
