A super PAC supporting Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie unleashes a brutal attack ad against Donald Trump — proving that while Christie has little chance of winning, he might do enough damage to hurt Trump in the general election.
The ad focused on Donald Trump’s illegal mishandling of documents, the crime that may land him in prison, and outlined the case simply enough for GOP voters to understand.
“Donald Trump had a choice: comply with a federal grand jury subpoena or play golf. He chose golf,” says the ad’s narrator.
The ad includes remarks from Christie himself saying that Trump should have “skipped a couple of rounds of golf and gone through the boxes to respond to a subpoena from a grand jury.”
“Donald Trump had a choice: look for his missing golf shirts in the boxes of national security secrets and return them or play golf. He chose golf,” the ad continues.
The video is a response to recent jaw-dropping remarks made by Trump during a Fox News interview. Remarkably, he claimed that he didn’t turn over the boxes of documents to the feds because he “was very busy” and wanted to have time to “get all my personal things out” because the boxes were “interspersed with “all sorts of things, golf shirts, clothing, pants, shoes.”
Chris Christie isn’t right about much but he is right about this. Donald Trump is uniquely unqualified to be president and we’d all be better off if he left politics to spend his time golfing — or better yet live out his last days behind prison bars
