A pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage after allegedly eating ice cream produced by Big Olaf Creamery that was contaminated with listeria. The woman and her husband are now suing the Florida company for unspecified damages.

According to the lawsuit, #KristenHopkins said that she ate the contaminated treat during a wedding in May. She was treated for fatigue, convulsions, head and neck pain, cramping, diarrhea, and headache. While in the hospital, the couple received the heartbreaking news that their unborn child had passed.

The CDC reported that a total of 23 people from 10 states were infected by the recent outbreak. Of those, 18 reported eating ice cream, and 10 said they consumed the Big Olaf brand specifically. The FDA announced that Big Olaf Creamery has since ceased production and distribution of its ice cream products
