A man managed to track down the culprits who stole his belongings from his car in Subang Jaya through Apple’s ‘Find My’ app.
Arvin Tharan explains the men took his MacBook Pros, iPad and watch, which can be tracked as long as they were charged.
Arvin says he managed to track down the men within an hour after his car was broken into, adding that the men were “happily chilling” at a coffee shop in Sri Petaling.
He says he resorted to using the app after CCTV footage failed to show what had happened to his car.
“I drove to the nearest police station and requested immediate help as I could still track them,” he says.
“Upon reaching the coffee shop, the cops advised me to look for the men myself as the thieves might spot them.”
Arvin adds, after spotting the man with his watch, he went closer to the said culprit and pretended to order food.
He then called for the officers, who were dressed in plain clothes, to arrest the suspects, adding that one of them had 16 records of multiple car break-ins.
