Hours after making a case for Yahoo boys, pastor arrested for killing a young girl in Delta
Police operatives in Delta State have arrested one Pastor Alex Itedjere for allegedly killing a yet-to-be-identified girl in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect, who’s the founder of Wellspring of God Ministry, was arrested after the remains of the victim was discovered in his house on Friday morning, September 22, 2023.
According to reports, the cleric, whose church is located at No. 4 Onomuke street in Agbarha-Otor, butchered the young girl with a machete, after destroying his father’s shrine in the community.
It was gathered that the pastor was apprehended by an angry youths who later handed him over to the police.
In a video obtained, the pastor’s hands and legs were tied as he laid in flood waters in front of onlookers.
This comes hours after the pastor took to his Facebook page to make a case for internet fraudsters otherwise known as yahoo boys.
