Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that TikTok influencers paid 8k pesos to post campaign script of Maggie Wilson and Acasa scamming people in troll farm scandal.
Maggie Wilson trended on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday as the former beauty queen and TV personality revealed on her Instagram stories the alleged smear campaign against her by several content creators on TikTok.
Some of the paid influencers are: BENEDICT PAREDES, Mystee Ramirez and Mareng Chona.
As of the time of posting, several TikTok videos featuring content creators discussing Wilson and Acasa Manila have been deleted, while some creators have already posted their apology videos.
“Sabi na coordinated ang online attack kay Maggie Wilson & ACASA MNL these past few days. Umamin na ang mga ‘influencers’ na they were paid 8K each to make a video attacking Maggie,” one X user wrote.
Another social media user said: “Maggie Wilson exposing the troll farm gc of these tiktok influencers. so ganito pala galawan noon pag election season and smear campaigns. And the immediate apology videos after.”
“In any democratic country this would open up a debate in Government, everyone involved would have been arrested (on the police’s own initiative) and a broader investigation would be opened. But remember, this is the Philippines,” Wilson wrote on her latest IG story.
