Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Marlon Wayans penned advice to Lupita Nyong’o exposing her cheating South African man, Selema Masekela, in a heartbreak IG post.
While she didn’t explicitly name who she was referring to, Nyong’o has been romantically linked with television host Selema Masekela. The two seemingly confirmed their relationship and went Instagram official in December, though according to People, it’s unclear when the two began dating.
Her heartbreak, she added, is due to “a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
Lupita urged her followers to confront their pain and not let it spread. Her breakup announcement came shortly after she was spotted at a Janelle Monae concert with actor Joshua Jackson. Interestingly, Joshua’s wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, had recently filed for divorce.
Lupita and Selema Masekela had publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram in December of the previous year, and their breakup announcement has captured the attention of many.
Nyong’o wrote that she’s felt the urge to “run into the shadows and hide” amid the heartbreak, but said “I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass.”
In the lengthy note — which she shared via screengrabbed slides, in a caption and again on her Instagram Story — Nyong’o, 40, began by acknowledging that “there are much more important things going on in the world right now, and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.”
“At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust,” the Oscar winner wrote. “I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
Her announcement comes a day after she was seen attending a Janelle Monáe concert with actor Joshua Jackson amid his divorce from Jodie Turner-Smith. The Daily Mail published photos of the two at the Los Angeles concert on Oct. 18.
On Instagram, Nyong’o continued: “But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass. The promise, they say, is that a tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness.”
