Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Yuri Lowenthal wants Deadpool to appear in Spider Man3.

Unfortunately, while both characters have seen successor in their respective film franchises, they haven’t been paired in a live-action setting yet nor in a video game.

Speaking to ComicBook.com ahead of the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we asked Lowenthal which classic Spider-Man storyline he’d like to see Insomniac adapt for its video game franchise in the future. While stressing that he hasn’t signed on for a third game just yet, Lowenthal said that he’s been pitching those behind the scenes at Insomniac about incorporating Deadpool in some manner. Specifically, Lowenthal added that he’d like to work opposite actor Nolan North, who has previously played the “Merc with a Mouth” in various games and other mediums. Lowenthal admitted that he doesn’t think his dream will become a reality, but that hasn’t prevented him from making his voice heard. If it’s up to Spider-Man/Peter Parker actor Yuri Lowenthal, Deadpool will make an appearance in a future Spider-Man video game. As of this week, Lowenthal has reprised his role of Spider-Man in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which releases on PS5 in the coming day. And while news of another potential Spidey game hasn’t come about just yet, Lowenthal already has some ideas of what he’d like to see Insomniac do next. In the comic books, Spider-Man and Deadpool have had numerous encounters. Their interactions have ranged from the occasional friendly team-ups to contentious battles, often flavored with Deadpool’s particular brand of humor. One of the most noteworthy aspects of their relationship is their contrasting personalities. Spider-Man’s generally earnest and responsible nature clashes with Deadpool’s irreverence and unpredictability, resulting in entertaining and often comedic interactions. Their dynamic became so popular that Marvel even introduced a dedicated comic series, Spider-Man/Deadpool, in 2016.

Deadpool already starred in a video game adaptation in 2013 with High Moon Studios’ Deadpool, an action-beat ’em up video game. It successfully captured Deadpool’s humor, fourth-wall breaks, and zany antics. Nolan North provided the voice for Deadpool in a narrative penned by longtime Deadpool comic writer Daniel Way. The story is full of jokes about video game clichés, and sees Deadpool on a mission to make the best video game ever starring himself. He’s also made appearances in other franchises, most recently in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.
