Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Republicans spread fake news that Robert Card’s body is floating in the Androscoggin River where he appeared to enjoy spending time.
Card followed only a few accounts on X. They included a MAGA page called Proud Patriots, Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, CNBC, Joe Rogan and “@ProfAsifNawaz,” whose page says he is an “Assistant Professor of International Affairs & History @UMaine, Terrorism, International Conflict, Muslim Politics.” The professor’s name is Asif Nawaz.
“Law Enforcement is attempting to locate Robert Card 4/4/1983, as a person of interest regarding the mass shooting at Schemengees Bar and Sparetime Recreation this evening. CARD should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact law enforcement if you are aware of his whereabouts,” Lewiston police wrote on Facebook.
The number of people believed to be killed in the shootings is 15 to 20, according to law enforcement sources.
NBC News earlier reported that 22 people had been killed, citing a Lewiston police source.
Fifty people were injured, not all of whom were shot. Some reportedly had injuries from a stampede, the sources said. Residents of Lewiston and the neighboring town of Lisbon are under shelter-in-place orders, Sauschuck said.
Heavy reviewed the page shortly before it was suspended by X. It shows that Card followed and/or liked posts by X’s CEO, Elon Musk, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban as well as a professor who studies terrorism and a number of prominent conservative politicians and pundits, including Donald Trump Jr. and Tucker Carlson. He also liked and shared posts by CNBC, as well as posts on finance.
There are at least 22 dead and 50 to 60 injured at a bowling alley and bar and grill in Maine, according to CNN. Card is a U.S. military veteran who had recent mental health issues, according to an internal law enforcement alert. He was still at large as of Thursday morning, October 26, 2023.

A “vehicle of interest” was found in Lisbon, the commissioner said. Earlier, Lewiston police said they were searching for a vehicle and posted an image of what appeared to be a small, white SUV with a front bumper believed to be painted black. Maine State Police confirmed to CNN the image is of the suspect’s car.
Lewiston is about 36 miles north of Portland and is the state’s second-largest city.
“Please stay inside your home with the doors locked,” state police said in a post on Facebook. “If you see any suspicious activity or individuals please call 911.”
The city of Lewiston said that all municipal buildings are closed Thursday as the hunt for a shooter who caused multiple casualties in the city Wednesday evening continues, the city government said.
Schools are also closed. People were told to shelter in place after the shootings. Police identified a bar and a bowling alley as scenes.
The city said that non-emergency personnel should stay home. The shootings occurred around 7 p.m. ET, Sauschuck said. Lewiston police reported active shooting incidents at Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley on Mollison Way, and Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street.

“We are encouraging all businesses to lock down and or close while we investigate,” the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook Wednesday evening.
The sheriff’s office released images of a “suspect for identification.” The person can be seen holding a high-powered assault-style rifle.
According to NBC News, Card “studied engineering at the University of Maine about 20 years ago,” from 2001 to 2004.
Card liked a post by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Republican, that read, “President Biden has already caused record inflation. Now, his reckless refusal to negotiate could lead to a first-ever default. I am prepared to clear my calendar. Mr. President, what are you afraid of?”
Can’t believe authorities still haven’t found the Lewiston, Maine Shooter, Robert Card.
An intensive manhunt is still underway to find him after he opened fire on dozens of people, killing 22 people.
Did he kill himself? Police searched his house and didn’t find him. From the looks of his social media posts, he liked fishing and spending time on the Androscoggin River.
Maybe Card killed himself out on the water, and maybe his body is floating in the Androscoggin River where he appeared to enjoy spending time. A massive manhunt is underway, including in the city of Lewiston, the nearby city of Libson, and other areas including road and waterways. The sources added that an aircraft with heat sensing technology is flying above the search area.
Officials have also not yet identified a motive for the shooting.
Officials with the Department of Justice are working quickly to try to determine if the shooting can be classified as a form of domestic terrorism or a hate crime.
Two senior law enforcement sources told Fox News that the Lewiston, Maine shooting suspect Robert Card planned Wednesday night’s shooting well in advance and had several hiding spots ready for him to go to.
Police in Maine identified Card as a suspect for shootings at two different locations — the Schemengees Bar and Grille and the Just-In-Time Recreation bowling alley — on Wednesday night, leaving at least 18 people dead and 13 injured.
More than 36 hours after the deadly rampage, authorities have not yet located Card.
