Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Elon Musk said decolonization means genocide and reverse genocide.

Elon Musk says X users who deploy the terms “decolonization”, “from the river to the sea” and other “similar euphemisms” that “necessarily imply genocide” will be suspended from the platform.

“Clear calls for extreme violence are against our terms of service and will result in suspension,” Musk tweets.

“Anyone calling for a genocide of any people will be suspended,” Musk replies to a user who asks, “So many influential accounts here support Hamas’ massacre. Will you suspend them?”

In his post Friday, he quote-tweeted a post from two days ago that said “Yes, ‘decolonization’ necessarily implies a Jewish genocide, thus it is unacceptable to any reasonable person.”

Musk, who has in the past described himself as a “free speech absolutist” and claimed to be running X according to that principle, took the position that the hotly disputed terms are clear hate speech meant to incite “extreme violence.” He followed up that post with a tweet reading, “At risk of stating the obvious, anyone advocating the genocide of *any* group will be suspended from this platform.”

In fact, not only has X utterly failed to remove genocidal rhetoric during the Israel-Hamas war, but Musk has personally contributed to a surge of antisemitic content. After his Thursday endorsement of a user’s conspiracy theory that Jews are “pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them,” the White House condemned his “abhorrent promotion of Antisemitic and racist hate in the strongest terms” on Friday. That incident — and ongoing reports that their sponsored content has routinely been displayed next to Nazi and white nationalist material on X — prompted major advertisers including Apple, Disney, Lionsgate and IBM to cut ties with the platform.

Musk has faced multiple accusations that hate rhetoric and antisemitism have grown significantly on X since he took over the company in 2022, as well as accusations of having using antisemitic tropes himself. Global antisemitism has spiked after war erupted between Israel and Hamas when the terror group carried out a devastating attack that killed some 1,200 people in Israel, and took some 240 hostage.

Elon made the comment Wednesday when a user posted a video that is part of a campaign against antisemitism, depicting a father reprimanding his son for making antisemitic remarks on the internet.

He has accused them of being “ironically the biggest generators of anti-Semitism on this platform!”

He would later announce that X Corp would be suing the ADL for defamation over its comments about antisemitism on X.
