Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Antoine Griezmann said YES after being asked if he deserved the Ballon d’Or in 2018?l

Antoine Griezmann, Atlético de Madrid striker, is one of the trendiest players in European football. His maturity has coincided with his best form in recent years. Last season he deserved the ‘MVP’ award, which he was not given. Just as he was not given the ‘Ballon d’Or’ at the time, despite football people like Didier Deschamps and Diego Pablo Simeone believing he would have deserved it ahead of Luka Modric (the Frenchman won the World Cup as a protagonist).

Now, it is the footballer himself who categorically answers with a “yes” to the question of whether he deserved it in 2018. This is what he told the ‘Fútbol Emotion’ channel.

But Mundo claim that those concerns couldn’t be further from the truth, sources saying that Griezmann has no intention of leaving the club and would welcome the healthy competition from Neymar, should he arrive.

The report says Griezmann is well aware of the chemistry Neymar has with Messi and Suarez but believes he can still fit into the team despite the possible presence of the dangerous trio, who wreaked havoc on La Liga before Neymar’s departure.

World Cup winner Griezmann is thought to believe that the more quality and firepower Barcelona have at their disposal, the better and the more titles they can win.

And with Messi and Suarez both edging towards their mid-thirties, having some younger blood would only be beneficial to the team.

DID YOU THINK YOU DESERVED THE GOLDEN BALL IN 2018?

“Yes.”

WHAT IS YOUR HIDDEN TALENT?

“I would say singer but…”

WHAT DID YOU BUY WITH YOUR FIRST SALARY?

“I think branded clothes. And now I always wear tracksuits… (laughs)”
